Making CAW work better
Present: AS, Lou, Claire, Patrick, Nicola, David, Robert, Illona
Meetings - are for action, things needing discussion, not for info passing
Proposed agenda will be posted on website for people to edit and add things to
Agenda will be timed, and previous minutes will be sited for action points
The aim of the agenda is to only have 3 things on it
Discussion: Outcomes are required, with Action points, person and date
Time keeping will be a bit more strict (DL to demonstrate at next meeting)
Items for information can be posted on the website
Each meeting will have and practical thing eg letter, submission 10-15 minutes
There is the opportunity to learn from other CAN groups
Dealing with the little issues: there will be a 60 sec rave session
Engagement - explain what is involved, lists circulated, resources will be given
Need to get an idea from WCC re timeframes for NZTA funding
Communication
More use of the website - Pat happy to provide training, signing up at meeting
CAW discuss will be not used after the AGM
Need for web pages for Reps on different forums so that members views are recorded.
Also a place to report issues, these can then be collated and presented at TA meetings
RI to circulate info on transferring people from CAW_discuss to CAW website
Windy Wheels is great - thanks Graham
Representation on Forums - Active Transport and Safe and Sustainable transport
Need for better training of reps
Need for better communication between members and reps
Agenda and minutes to be posted on website
Use of website will be trialled as a way to improve this. LG to talk to SE
WCC
Need to improve our relationship with WCC and widen it
Very important to have regular contact with a designated spokesperson who has a clear mandate and reports back to CAW. This doesn't need to be formal - coffee was mentioned
Relationships
There will be the development of a customer relationship management system (help from CAN) which will record these interactions.
